Retail Therapy!!!!

This weekend has been wonderfully enjoyable... though I was (as usual) tired...We went to the Takashimaya Baby Fair on this morning to check out the offers there. main idea was to actually survey what to buy and plan ahead. We didn't really have much to buy except the baby cot and a baby stroller which we kinda already decided it should be the Peg Prego P3 Pilko 2009 Stroller (after earlier recees few weeks ago) we have been holding off buying it cos we thot maybe we should only buy it when baby is nearer its due date.

The crowd at Taka was just filtering in at 11.30a.m when we reached the shopping centre. The crowd wasn't huge (maybe cos most of them are at home whilst their hubbies are at the IT show in Suntec)... or its just alittle early and people would likely come in for lunch and then shop.

We didn't really start off with much shopping... just bought a mat for the car seat so it protects my leather seats when the baby car seat is propped up, and some cotton wool in a nice plastic container and baby wipes.

As we maneuver our way through the rows of baby stuff, we came across stuff that was really really expensive and not worth buying really... We kinda headed towards our objective of surveying the price of the baby cots and what designs are available. The baby cots at the fair was quite disappointing... nothing fancy and yet quite expensive. Totally not worth it! The nice ones are small and super expensive - $750 and above... haiz.... maybe we should go check out Robinsons and Mothercare before deciding whether or not to buy the cheap one at Baby Hypermart in Kaki Bukit.

As we continued window shopping pushing our way thru the now growing crowd, we saw the Peg Prego stroller we were going to get. GOSH!!! The discount was much better than the one we saw at the Baby Hypermart!! It was at least an additional, $50 off! We just had to get it since no point paying the extra and getting it later right?!

So..... we bought our baby stroller!!!! We chose the Bright Chilli Red one (tho I was more inclined towards the Mocca one initially) .... YAYYYY~!!!!! Then before we headed to the cashier, we saw a baby monitor from Philips Avent - and that was something we definitely need, and it was such a cool gadget. I was so excited over it and we both decided it was a worthwhile investment.... so we decided to get it. It wasn't too bad, cos they gave us quite a few freebies like $30 Philips voucher, baby luggage case (tho we prob prefer the umbrella or the baby diaper bag) and a baby gift set (clothes)..



After we paid for our stuff, we decided to head to Kinokuniya to buy a Chinese dictionary to start thinking of our baby's name.

WoW!!!! Shiok! SHiok! The reality of baby coming is getting so real... with all the baby stuff we are starting to stock up, and the planning of Baby's name, ever thing has become exceedingly exciting ............and guess what? This week our baby started to kick HARD and I can feel it! It is so magical!

Okay, back to our shopping spree.... The parking @ taka was a rip off! As we left Taka from a 4 hour lunch and shopping trip, the car park charge came up to $12~!~~~~~~!!!! walaooooooooo.... Tho starting to feel tired, we thot we might as well do a quick stop at centrepoint robinsons to check out baby cots then to tampines to grab the diaper bag we ordered before we avoid Orchard Road for another good long period.

We were disappointed at Robinsons. Nothing. No baby cot. Sigh, but good thing is, we managed to grab a Chinese dictionary so we can start thinking of baby names. By 5p.m we were heading to tampines - the baby shop we went a week ago to try and get the baby backpack duo we saw at last week. But the baby shop did not get us the one I liked, so we left and were finally heading home at 5 p.m ... I was really really exhausted and a storm was starting to brew too...

The moment we got home, I took my quick shower and hibernated on the sofa for 3 hours with nice rain trickling down the windows.. Dinner was great at 9p.m with Duck rice my hubs bought at Rivervale... but my mood was even greater!

Tomorrow we will go collect our new baby stroller! Yeah! Red Stroller! Red Stroller! Red Stroller!!!!!
